The job
FACE THE DAY is a 50 ml rose water and aloe facial spray that puts moisture back into skin in about ten seconds. Mist it on before you head out, after a workout, or whenever your face feels tight.
How to use it
Shake, close your eyes, and mist two or three times over a clean face and pat to spread evenly. Let it dry, or follow with moisturiser.
Use in the morning, after a workout, after time outside, or mid-afternoon when skin starts to feel tight. It takes less time than finding your keys. Used twice a day, a 50 ml bottle lasts about two months.
Every ingredient, and why it's there
Skin loses water all day, and faster in wind, dry indoor heat, and after a sweaty workout. Splashing it with plain water doesn't help much: the water evaporates, and skin feels tighter than before. Skin needs water plus something that holds it there.
Rose (Rosa damascena) flower water forms the base of the spray, with light moisture and a soft floral note.
Aloe (Aloe barbadensis) leaf juice contains polysaccharides that hold moisture at the skin's surface and leave it feeling comfortable rather than stripped.
Glycerin and hyaluronic acid are humectants. They draw water into the top layer of skin and keep it there, so the mist doesn't just evaporate.
Witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) leaves skin feeling refreshed and toned.
Caprylyl/capryl glucoside, a mild sugar-derived ingredient, keeps the essential oils evenly mixed through the water so every spray gets the same blend.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), geranium (Pelargonium graveolens), bergamot (Citrus bergamia), and frankincense (Boswellia carterii) essential oils are used at a low level and give it its scent.
The result is a fast, no-fuss facial spray for skin that keeps up with your day.

Questions people ask
What is FACE THE DAY for?
Quick hydration for skin that feels dry or tight, without adding another step to your morning.
Is it a toner?
It does a toner's job, with witch hazel for a refreshed feel, but it's made mainly to hydrate. Use it on its own or before moisturiser.
How often can I use it?
As often as your skin feels dry. Most people use it once or twice a day, plus after workouts.
How long does a bottle last?
About two months at two or three sprays, twice a day.
Can I use it after a workout?
Yes. That's one of the best times. Mist over a clean face once you've cooled down.
Will it feel sticky?
It shouldn't. Glycerin and hyaluronic acid are used at levels that hold moisture without leaving a tacky film. Let it dry for a few seconds before touching your face.
Do I need to follow with moisturiser?
Not always. On dry or cold days, a moisturiser on top helps hold in the water the spray adds.
Is it scented?
Lightly. The scent comes from a small amount of lavender, geranium, bergamot, and frankincense essential oils.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It contains essential oils, so patch test first if your skin is sensitive or reactive.
